Doc Booth Foundation Scholarships

Doc Booth Foundation will grant a $2,000 scholarship to a student in every high school in Washington County School District who is planning on an undergraduate degree or obtaining a certificate at a technical college. The scholarship is designated solely for covering tuition. Eligible students must have secured admission to a college, university, or technical school for the year 2025 and obtained a GPA of 3.0 or above in high school.

Applications are due by March 15, 2025.

Award

  • The $2000 scholarship will be awarded by end of April 2025
  • A check will be sent to students’ school of choice beginning of August 2025 if deferment isn’t needed.
  • Scholarship may be deferred for 2 years if needed.

Requirements

The following are required before the application will be considered:

  • Apply online at docboothfoundation.org
  • Application includes uploading transcript and essay
  • Headshot
  • Acceptance letter of school planning to attend in fall
  • Indicate if deferment is needed. Scholarship may be deferred for 2 years if needed.
  • Student enrollment verification and student ID# will need to be provided after acceptance of scholarship 

Essay

Applicants for this scholarship must articulate:

  1. Their motivations for pursuing a degree, what area of study they are considering and why education is important to them.
  2. The significance of living in Southern Utah, detailing what it has meant to them and why living in this area holds importance and
  3. The ways in which engaging in service and contributing to a community brings personal and collective benefits.
